Another Ayurvedic recipe for broccoli, packed with Vitamin A and C. Always make sure you don’t overcook the broccoli to retain its goodness.
Sauteed broccoli with mustard and cumin seeds
2 large heads of broccoli, chopped into florets
1-2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp asafetida
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tsp turmeric
2 tsp coriander powder
¾ tsp salt
1 tbsp lime or lemon juice
Heat the oil and temper the mustard and cumin seeds with the asafetida and garlic until the mustard seeds pop. Add turmeric and broccoli. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well. Cover and steam until cooked, but still crisp.
